Our Craft

The art of
slow making

At Willow Tree Baskets, every piece begins with raw willow and seagrass — materials chosen for their durability, texture, and natural beauty. We source responsibly and work entirely by hand.

No molds, no machines. Just skilled hands shaping each basket over days of careful weaving. The result is something mass production can never replicate: a piece with character, imperfection, and soul.

1

Select & Prepare

Hand-picked willow and seagrass are soaked and prepped for weaving.

2

Weave & Shape

Each basket is built from the base up, row by row, using traditional techniques.

3

Finish & Inspect

Edges are trimmed, surfaces smoothed, and each piece inspected before it leaves the studio.

About Us

A studio rooted in
community & craft

Willow Tree Baskets is a small studio in Lakeville, Massachusetts, dedicated to the centuries-old craft of basketry. What started as a personal passion for working with natural materials has grown into a full-time practice — and we're proud to serve our local community and beyond.

Every basket we make is a reflection of that commitment: to quality materials, thoughtful design, and the kind of work that lasts. Whether you're looking for a functional storage solution or a beautiful object to live with, we hope you find something that speaks to you.

We believe the best objects are the ones you grow to love over time — the ones that get better with age and tell a story with every use.
